CyberDefender - Free And Better
April 9th, 2007
One of our good friends sent me a tip yesterday. It’s about a fantastic piece of software that will help you keep your PC clean (which is more important than some of you might think judging by how many forget to use anti-virus software).
Cyber Defender Free is, as the name indicates, free and recently Sys-Con wrote “In the comparative review titled the “Security Super Guide,” PC Magazine reporter Neil J. Rubenking surveyed 20 security software, spyware, virus applications and suites. In the study, CyberDefenderFREE(TM) 2.0 scored higher at removing spyware than companies such as McAfee, Grisoft (AVG), and Trend-Micro PC-cillin and scored the same as Windows Live OneCare.”
USA Today has been praising it as well. “Even though I didn’t choose to activate all the package’s components — you can do that; it’s quite easily configurable, with a clean dashboard and installation process — CyberDefenderFREE kept the whining to a minimum and refrained from trying to upsell me at every turn. (Hear that, McAfee? It’s a swell approach. Try it.)”
Do yourself a favour. Protect your PC.
I’m not saying you should use this or that but you must use something. Cyber Defender Free (Yes it’s free) is a good place to start. If you think the net is full of happy hippies from the 70s you’re wrong. There are still some hippies but a LOT of sites do the best they can to install malware/virus on your PC without you know it.
