No More Windows Support
July 4th, 2006
July 11th is the last day where over 70 million Windows users running Windows 98, Windows 98 Special Edition and Windows Millennium Edition can get security updates.
That means Microsoft just got themself approximate 70 million new Windows XP users because you’re forced to update your PC system if you haven’t done already. Windows XP is not a bad piece of software in my opinion but it still got some security problems. It is however kinda ironical that users of the older systems (such as Windows 98) isn’t hurt a lot by many of the new viruses because they simply don’t work on older systems. They only work on the new systems they now need to update to.
