Thirsty English World Cup Fans
June 29th, 2006The World Cup is still going on and there are a few things you can count on. English fans don’t have the best reputation and they drink quite a lot. If you think I’m full of it you should read this.
According to Ananova.com english fans are drinking Germany dry as a desert.
In Nuremberg fans drank 1.2 millions pints of beer during the Trinidad game. Stuttgart landlords said an extra 900,000 pints were sunk last weekend as 60,000 fans celebrated England’s win over Ecuador. In Cologne where England drew with Sweden the pubs ran out of bottles and barrels.
That’s a lot of beer!
